Getting Pupils Active @ SK Jengka 4

Suhaiza Binti Asiran, at SK Jengka 4, has done an excellent job putting the KSSR English Year 1 textbook into practice and getting her pupils moving.   Suhaiza is a supporter of TPR and getting students moving, however, it is not always easy to do within the confines of the classroom.  Check out this collage and video of her adapting an activity and getting pupils active!

Maran District Choral Speaking Competition @ SK Jengka 2

Schools around the Maran district came together today, 17th June 2015, to allow pupils to compete in the 2015 Maran District Level Choral Speaking Competition.  It was a great competition, and the hard work and effort of the pupils was clearly visible.  The hosts at SK Jengka 2 did an amazing job with the event, and we all enjoyed a meal together afterward before the start of the fasting month.

It is truly inspiring to see the schools come together in the spirit of friendly competition and raise interest in English.  Although these events can be small, they can have a great impact!

And congratulations to SK Jengka 14, a non-TELL school, for taking home the win!

Brighton Kids English Club XVIII

We had a great time getting together again after our long holiday! We revised a lot of material, played games, read books, and had a fantastic snack time!

Having Fun with English @ SK Kertau

Muhamad Harris Imran Bin Jamaludin has put the new English Learning Centre at SK Kertau straight to use.  In his review lesson after break, he is practicing Days of the Week and Months of the Year.  Rather than "Skill & Drill" methodology, Harris had the pupils chant to refresh their memory, then played some games with them.  Hangman is a great game to play for revisions!  Excellent work Harris!
