Our newest Club meeting was the best yet! We tried a few very novel activities, and everyone had a lot of time to speak English! We started with a modified Q&A geography game using a map and some foreign coins (which the children were only too happy to take home), then practiced speaking with puppets! We had Ariel, Rapunzel, Harry Potter, and Ben Ten, among others. Everyone laughed and used funny voices to ask and answer various types of questions (revision). Next was "What Can You See?" using mini digital cameras. We ran around identifying everything in sight, saying "I see ___", followed by: "CLICK". After that we did Occupations: "I want to be a ___". For this activity, everyone had the chance to speak, read, write, AND draw! By the end of today's meeting, we were all hot and exhausted, so snack time was an EXTRA BIG HIT!
