SK Jengka 3, Word Jumble

Year 2 students at SK Jengka 3 have been learning about gardening with Siti Azura BT Abu Seman, a TELL2 teacher.  She introduced the new gardening vocabulary with a flashcard game and followed with Word Jumble.  She distributed packets of letters and showed the class a flashcard.  The students had to identify the word then arrange the letters into the correct spelling for each flashcard.  The students enjoyed the activity and learned the words and correct spelling in a new way.  It was Siti Azura's first time attempting this activity and it was a great success!

Meanwhile, Sarina BT Ab Hamid, a TELL2 teacher, has been teaching Parts of the Body to her Year 1 students.  They loved "Head Shoulders Knees and Toes" but Sarina wanted to supplement the vocabulary from the song with a more comprehensive list of words to describe the body.  She first introduced the new vocabulary with flashcards, then had students arrange on a large boy poster she prepared in advance.  Afterward, she had students come to the front of the class and present a part of the body to their classmates.  You can see students holding their cards up after presenting them to the class.  Her activity was an effective way to involve students and introduce new vocabulary for Parts of the Body.
